An Ultimate Cryptex Box in work on
the bench.
A custom made brace to support the trim alignment is
fit onto the box and the trim is then glued and
clamped.
Randal hand fits many of the parts to each
individual box. Here he is using a block plane to
adjust the fit of a part.
This bench is loaded with 100's of completed
Cryptex parts prepared and ready for installing into
the boxes.
This is a specially crafted jig setup on a
modified antique scroll saw machine. This jig is
used to make the extremely accurate lock bars for
setting the codes on the Cryptex.
This is another of over a dozen handmade jigs
created just for the Ultimate Cryptex Box. Though
exactly what this tool does can not be reveled, we
can say that it is the key that makes the final
critical alignments possible.
