What you should know about Original Quagmire Puzzle Boxes:
Quagmire Puzzle Boxes are designed and handcrafted by Randal Gatewood in his studio.
His creations are presented as an artistic gesture in
which each piece has its own unique individual
characteristics. Many are offered in very limited quantities
i.e., limited edition puzzle boxes. It is Randal’s
intent to produce high quality puzzle boxes that any
collector would be proud to have in their collection.
Many of the parts are actually crafted to fit it
respective box and therefore are not interchangeable. No two boxes are exactly alike. These unique characteristics
are expected and is one of the many reasons that they are sought after by
collectors and other enthusiast around the world.
Warranty Statement:
Quagmire Puzzle Boxes are warranted against defects in workmanship and
materials. If it is found to be defective or inoperable due to workmanship or
materials you may return it within 15 days of delivery for an exchange or
repair. Warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable.
Each and every box is carefully inspected and verified to work properly as intended by the artist at the time of shipping.
Limited Warranty Clarifications:
Materials: Does not include natural occurring grains, markings or colors of the wood (s).
Environment Conditions: Wood expands or contracts according to its environment.
Mechanical wooden puzzle boxes that become unworkable due to their environmental conditions
are not warrantable.
Offering: Purchases are encourage by collectors and anyone else who would like to own one of these unique
handcrafted boxes. We do not encourage sales of these boxes with a "buy to try"
expectation.
Items Under Warranty:
In the event a warranted selection is determined to be faulty within 15 days of purchase it may be returned in "as new" condition for exchange or repair.
1) If repairable it will be repaired and shipped back at no charge.
2) If not repairable and a replacement is available an exchange will be implemented and shipped at no charge.
3) If not repairable and no replacement is available a refund less shipping will be issued.
For any other warranted circumstances, at our discretion, a refund may be issued less a recovery fee of 15% of
the order total. We do not refund return shipping cost. Refund will be processed when the item being returned has been received in “as new” condition
(no damaged, scratches, dents, etc.). Refunds will be made only by crediting the original method of payment.
Returning a QPB box under warranty:
Before sending any item back to us please CONTACT US FIRST via our message form and tell us why you want to return the item. If we determine it should be returned we will provide specific shipping instructions for you to return the artwork to us
at your own expense. Items sent to us without prior notification will be sent back unopened.
We do not accept or open any unsolicited packages due to liability
reasons. Verification of original purchaser is made by providing us a copy of receipt. In some cases we may ask to verify the last 4 digits of the card used for the purchase and/or a copy of the certificate (if one was provided). Any selection sent back to us from outside of the USA should have all customs, tariffs or other associated fees paid for upon shipping. Items being returned should be packed as well or better than as
they were received. We can not be held responsible or liable for items damaged or lost in transit. You
should consider insuring the item when shipping.
Damaged items:
Items that are received damaged must be reported to us immediately - within at
least 3 days of delivery receipt.
